My week in the life of a PCSO

It’s been a super busy set of shifts this week, and it’s exactly what makes me enjoy my role as a PCSO!

Here’s a snapshot of what I’ve been up to in the local community 👇

✅ Joined a North West Leicestershire District Council partners catch‑up meeting to hear what’s going on in the area
✅ Reassurance checks in the community following a warrant being carried out
✅ CCTV enquiries to support ongoing investigations
✅ Ran a Beat Surgery, speaking directly with residents
✅ Attended Hugglescote Parish Council, where lots of resident concerns were raised – we had really positive conversations about working together, tackling issues, and sharing crime prevention advice
✅ Carried out a home visit to a victim of crime to provide support and reassurance
✅ Dealt with a SORN vehicle that shouldn’t have been on the road
✅ Continued work around our beat priorities

We’ve also received several reports recently about incidents that happened some time ago but weren’t reported at the time. If something has happened to you – even if it feels minor or historical – please report it. Information really does help us build a better picture and take action where we can.
